Michaelmas Cay: (Outer Reef) Great for Bird Watching or maybe trying a Intro Dive. Over 10,000 birds live on the cay. This is not an island yet. When it has trees then it is called an island. Part of the island is roped off where people can walk. There is a big fine if you walk on the other side of the rope. Bird and turtle eggs are in the sand so they only want minimum impact from humans. Beautiful fringing reefs. Maybe you'll see a turtle! There are 3 boats that visit Michaelmas Cay. Two are sail boats and the other a motor boat. It take about 2 and a half hours to sail one way or 1 and half hours by motor boat.
